Residential Support Advocate​

Compensation: Starting at $9 an hour
Employment type: part/full-time

 
Cape Fear Group Homes, Inc. is currently seeking a Residential Support Advocate (RSA) for clients within the Group Homes. Under the supervision of the Group Home Manager, the Residential Support Advocate works closely with the clients to implement planned daily activities including, but not limited to, assisting and transporting individuals to appointments, community outings, etc. The Residential Support Advocate possess strong communication skills to ensure the health and safety for each individual.
The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age with a valid North Carolina Driver's License. Education requirement is a High School Graduate or Equivalent. Prefer at least one-year experience in providing services to special population.

Part Time and Full Time shifts available.
Cape Fear operates on a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift schedule.

Employment Specialist​

Compensation: $13-$15 an hour
Employment type: part-time


Under the supervision of the Supported Employment Director or Assistant Director, Employment Specialists provide direct support and coaching to enable individual clients to achieve their employment goals.

Education Requirements:
An Employment Specialist will have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, although a 4 year degree in Human Services, Vocational Development or related field is preferred.

Special Requirements:
Required experience: Human Services: 1 year
Required license or certification: Valid NC Driver's License
Required education: High school or equivalent

Experience Requirements:
Cape Fear Group Homes Inc, prefers that the Employment Specialist has at least one year experience working with individuals with disabilities or 1- 2 or more years of experience in employment services.

Other Job Requirements:
They will have passed a health care registry, driving, and criminal background check before beginning employment
The Employment Specialist must have and keep a valid NC Driver's License and provide proof of automobile insurance and ensure vehicle is kept clean and in good operational order  The Employment Specialist must be able to interact effectively with community employers and advocate for program participants.
